Battle of Hobkirk's Hill

The Battle of Hobkirk's Hill (sometimes referred to as the Second Battle of Camden) was a battle of the American Revolutionary War fought on April 25, 1781, near Camden, South Carolina. A small American army under Nathanael Greene defended a ridge known as Hobkirk's Hill against an attack by an even smaller British force led by Francis Rawdon.

Camden Battlefield

The Camden Battlefield is the site of the Battle of Camden on 16 August 1780, a British victory by General Charles Cornwallis over a mixed force of Continental Army regulars and state militia forces led by General Horatio Gates. The battlefield sprawls over an area estimated to be 2,000 acres (8.1 km2) about 6 miles (9.7 km) north of Camden, South Carolina.

Old Quaker Cemetery

It dates back to the earliest days of Camden, which was first settled in 1730, and is the oldest inland city in South Carolina. The cemetery is notable in that it maintains the gravesites of numerous famous people, to include three Civil War Confederate Army Generals, two Medal of Honor recipients, and one South Carolina Governor.
